Puff-Sleeved Cardigan

Knitting_photos_004 I just separated the sleeves for my Puff-Sleeved Cardigan.  Since you have to increase to 370 stitches I thought those last rows would never end.  I'm also using Elsebeth Lavold Silky wool.  Like everyone else I'm starting to worry if I have enough.  I used yarn that was in my stash for a while so it's not going to be possible to get more of the dye lot.  On the positive side, thinking I may run out of yarn makes me knit really fast. Maybe in the hopes that if I knit fast enough I'll finish before I run out, or maybe I can't stand the suspense and need to find out one way or the other as soon as possible.

I also just ordered yarn for the Elizabeth Bennet cardigan.  Now that my yarn is safely ordered, I can share that WEBS (www.yarn.com) has cascade cloud nine in many colors, including the one used in the book, on closeout.  I can't wait to put on the BBC Pride and Prejudice mini-series and knit away.

What isn't made better by the addition of a little Colin Firth? :D Good luck on your projects! That's a lovely shade of Silky Wool.

That is a beautiful color. Wow 370 stitches! Man I am going to have fun soon! I am making this one using Debbie Bliss Cotton in Taupe. I got it on sale last December, but I have over 1000yds so I think I will be fine. Good Luck on finding more in your dye lot.

I LOVE that sweater, too! Thanks for the tip about WEBS-I really want to order the yarn today, but I have left my book at home (I'm at work) if you get this post, could you send me the yarn requirements for all sizes? Then I can join the KAL! Thanks!!!

Kristina

I know exactly what you mean about all the stitches. I'm working on this one too. It seems like it's taking forever!

Also, the BBC Pride and Prejudice is one of my favorite things EVER. I love Colin Firth.

thanks for the tip on the yarn.. scooped up some for myself too!

This is looking lovely. I really want to try out silky wool. Also I'm thinking of making the Elizabeth Bennett cardigan, too, but I'm a little put off by the yarn requirements (seems like a lot, even for the poofy sleeves and cables). I'll be curious to see how quickly your yarn gets eaten up.
