short-sleeve ballerina

Hello everyone!

This is my first FO from this fab book - it was a quick knit since I opted for a short sleeve version.  I love this pattern and will actually make another one, long sleeve this time.  I'm still looking for the right yarn, this will probably be an end of summer project.  For now, I'm still doing summer projects (two WIPs: DSL tank & two-tone shrug).

I used Filatura Di Crosa - Portofino in shade 6

It looks great! This wasn't my favorite pattern in the book, but with the short-sleeves, and yarn choice, it's a definite winner. Great job!

Great top! What yarn did you end up using? The color is beautiful!

Gorgeous color. Yours looks so GOOD. I love your choice of color & yarn.
Just wonderful.

Looks great... I'd also love to know what yarn you used.

Thank you for your comments! I used Filatura Di Crosa - Portofino - Shade #6

That is so cute! What a great idea to make a summer version!

I really like it!! What is the yarn you chose for it? I like the variegated effect of it with the cables.

I wasn't in love with this pattern from the book, but yours is very cute. I might have to give it a second look.

OHH I really like that! It is on my to do list. One of my fave patterns in the book! Your color is very fun too!!

Oh, so cute! I've got the yarn for a long-sleeved version just waiting in the wings...

Mind if I ask how you thought the sizing ran? Some of the other patterns in the book have seemed to run large, so I thought I'd ask before I cast on. Thanks!

This looks great, I may just have to try with cap sleeves also. Thanks for giving us all the idea!!

how did you figure out how to work in the rest of the cables on the front of the sweater? The instructions are not strait forward to me. I'm not getting it...
