Alexandra Sleeve Detail

Just wanted to share a shot of the Alexandra's sleeve detail, which you (unfortunately!) can't see in the book:

I've been really impressed so far with the thoughtful construction and detailing that Stefanie has put into her designs -- see that delicate little flare to the sleeve?  I also couldn't believe how well the back-dart shaping of this sweater works on a short-waisted person like me.

I'm about 3/4 of the way through with Alexandra, and hope to have a FO shot by the weekend!  :)

Really beautiful...such gorgeous detail.

Thanks for the pic! I finished mine a while back and had to wing it on the sleeves because when I followed the directions, I didn't like how it came out (because I didn't do it right). My guess is almost exactly like yours!

I agree that more pictures on a few of the sweaters (what's up with the tabs on the textured tunic's hem?) would have been nice. Some have tons of pics and on some you can't see essential details. Oh, well.

Great job!

I forgot to comment on the shaping--it is fantastic! The sleeves are very cool, and the little flippy curve on the back is the cutest shaping EVER.

I can't wait til...uh... January to wear it (I'm in San Diego!).

Wow is that pretty! It's a great detail, I have to make that! Who am I kidding, I've wanted to make everything...

Very nice detail indeed. I hope to get to this soon...Maybe this weekend I can show some more progress shots on mine. It will be nice to have your picture here as a reference:)

That *is* a beautiful sleeve. The flare, the cable... I love the yarn you're using, too. Be sure to tell us what it is when you post again, please!
