At last! The Boatneck Bluebell is finished blocking and I've finally taken some decent pics:
The down-and-dirty details:
- I cast on for the size 36.5 bust, but had to make the chest area longer (via St st) before starting the first triad of rings.
- Size 7 circular needle.
- Cascade 220-The Heathers, Color Olive (#9448, Lot 9395), Less than 5 skeins (and since they were on sale at Webs for $4.89 + shipping=$29.60 sweater, Yahoo!)
- Started mid May, finished mid June
- I also altered the pattern by eliminating the hipline triad of rings as they looked rather unflattering on me. Instead I did a simple K2, P2 hem.
- Essential Discovery: This sweater looks best with a flat-front tailored pant or skirt. Otherwise it is poofed-out and funked-up by what is underneath it.

That is such a flattering shape on you! Thanks for sharing your pattern notes. I love the bell wrist on the sleeve.

You can't beat a long-sleeved sweater for under $30, and yours looks great on you! :)
(You also look like a dead ringer for Stefanie!)

What a gorgeous sweater, and perfect on you (color and fit). I will think of how perfectly it fits you when I'm feeling too lazy to put my work in progress onto a piece of yarn and try it on. You're an inspiration!
And, yes, I also thought you were Stefanie!

Holly, I love it. I am thinking of knitting this with Tweed Cascade 220. I have to finish my TTV first (or at least almost finish)
