Opinions?

I am about to start the Drop-Stitch Lace tank and I have two questions for the group.

First, has anyone knitted the top with the drop-stitch pattern all over, leaving out the ribbing? I love the look of the dropped stitches, and I thought it might be nice to have the pattern all over.

Second, what size has everyone knitted? I'm a 34", so I was considering the 28" directions, but the pattern says *at least* 6" smaller than your measurements.

Thanks for any input you can offer.

I was going to do that also, but it was recommended to me that the top would be even bigger with the DSL all the way around. That the ribbing is what helps give it shape...It's a fun tank to knit...mine is almost done!

I'm pretty sure I read that Snitty at http://sknitty.typepad.com/sknitty/ did her's with the pattern all the way around. She made mention that she liked it, but it had more stretch and should be done in a smaller size due to that bigger ease.

I did mine with the ribbing and I wish I'd gone smaller than even the 6" down.

Go smaller!

I am the same bust size as you and knit the 28". It still is a bit looser than I would have preferred. Without the rib I think the sweater will expand quite a bit more too so I'd go down quite a bit smaller.

I am the same size..well, 34.5" or so...and I knit the smallest size. Glad I did, too. It stretches so much after wearing for a couple of hours. I would recommend against all over lace if you want it to be fitted. I suppose, you could get rid of one pattern column....know what I mean?

In regard to doing this in the round; I have to reverse the order of the WS stitches dont I? Also, to those who've done it in the round, do you have to leave out the 'end p2, k1' bit or still do it?
