Short-Sleeved Cardi
I cast on for this sweater last week and bound off the body on Saturday. I'm using lion-brand mohair look yarn in color 'Chili'. Although I tried this on as I went (kind of) I decided I didn't like the look of the deep ribbing and am contemplating ripping it back to the horizontal ribbing section along the waist and modifying it to be a little shorter with shorter ribbing. Has anyone else done this? I like the look of the sleeves in the pattern and will probably keep them the same. Suggestions for mods would be greatly welcome. You can see more of my knitting progress on my blog.

I had to shorten the ribbing on the body because my torso is short. I didn't even get to the ribbing on the sleeves. :(
I haven't shown off mine yet.
Good luck,

So I decided on my course of action. I ripped back to two inches above the first horizontal rib, worked a couple of rows with the center back decreases, and then re-knit the rib without using smaller needles. I'm currently working on a few inches of ribbing. This will make a shorter sweater that will flatter the narrowest part of my waist rather than the draw attention to the um...not so narrow part of my waist. Wish me luck!

This is on board for my next fitted knits project. I just ordered some buttons off etsy for it:) I think I'm going to keep mine long as it suits my shape better but I'm excited to see how yours turns out. Love the color!
