Tank Top formerly known as Tube Top
Hi folks,
finally I can show another FO-- the Lace Tube Top, but I added straps to change it into a proper tank top-- feel far too naked in a tube top, although I really like the look in other girls. AND the straps prevent the whole thing from sliding down all the time. This was a fast and rewarding knit in German cotton yarn that was on sale, the whole top has cost me less than 7 Euro, which really is remarkable. I've been wearing it a lot and washed it several times, and the yarn nevertheless stays beautyfully in shape. I'm quite pleased with the top, but as with all garments I've knit so far from this book, I again had to add a lot of waist shaping to make it fit (and it still is a little bit too loose for my taste, but quite comfy to wear). Please excuse the slightly embarassing summer party shot, I was just too happy to finally get a pic of me in the top, that I really had to post this now! In the meantime I've also finished a cotton-linen-rayon version of the Boatneck Bluebell with 3/4 sleeves which also turned out really nice, but unfortunately, I haven't yet managed to get a decent photograph.

I love the color and it's nice to see an 'action' shot. Nice work.

It looks great! How did you add the straps? I've been considering making this one and adding straps too!

Very nice, and good idea with the straps. I could never get away with wearing a tube top. How did you add on the straps? Are they i-cord?

It looks great. I like it better with the straps, actually.

That is a lovely color on you! I love this top done as a tank, I think it is so much more practical and wearable for most women. The shape and fit are so flattering on you, too!

Love it!! The color is great on you and I like that top with or without straps. I have one to post too coming up in the next few days, without straps.

Hi, I am completely clueless as how to join this knit along. I bought fitted knits last week but have been reading the site for months now. Thanks!

That looks amazing! I hadn't even thought about adding the straps but knew there was no way I was knitting a tube top. Thanks for the inspiration.
