Finished!

(...finally!)

Piks_061_2 I really like it.  I'm pleased with the colors, and it is comfy.  The shrug fits my shoulders (go, measuring!), even though it looks big on my arms.  (I also have skinny, kind of scary-looking arms, which may be another reason.)  The Cascade 220 Superwash did "bloom" or relax a bit after the washing and blocking - and smelled a bit funny, but that is fading.

I'm looking forward to my next Fitted Knit!  Not sure which one....

Did the Cascade 220 stretch in size? I am using it for the Boatneck, and I'm a bit hesitant...

The 220 Superwash didn't so much stretch out as really relax after the bath. Even though the yarn is still springy and soft (I really like it), it felt like it went a bit more limp after the washing and blocking. I'd probably knit it at a slightly tighter gauge next time, just because I like very firm, close stitches in general. I think the regular, non-superwash 220 doesn't "bloom" in the same way. I've used it for socks, and they have remained the same size as knit, although I am knitting those pretty firmly. I haven't heard a lot about the regular 220 growing.

I should also add that I made a pretty big size (the third largest given) for my wide shoulders, so the rest of it looks a bit too big on me, maybe. It's really comfortable and I like the sort of poofy sleeves, so I'm happy with it, but if I had wanted a very fitted knit through the arms, I would have reduced the stitches there.

Very cute! I think it looks really nice on you.

Thanks Sally!
