Finished!

Yay! I finished!  I LOVE it.  Love, love, love it.  This picture does not do it justice, but that's ok.  It's still fabulous.Dsc00882_2

I made the size 17 with 7 balls of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino.  I lengthened the sleeves (obviously), but everything else is the same.

I also finished my U-neck vest a few weeks ago & forgot to post it here.  It's Cascade 220 superwash & it's yet another great design from this great book.

Crimson Coquette

This was my first knit out of the book.  All the dirt project details are HERE:

Finally Finished

For weeks all I needed to do was weave in a few ends. When my sister called me Friday evening to go to an Oktoberfest it was enough motivation to finish it. It was a fun easy knit and I love the yarn Cascade 220 Heather the color is celery and the picture doesn't do it justice. I probably would make this in cotton next time because the wool is a little too warm. I am not sure whether I will wear it alone. I don't like how the cut of the armhole looks on me (sorry no pics yet of me wearing it). So Friday night I wore it under my jean jacket and loved it! I am now waiting to get my larger needles I ordered from Knitpicks so I can start the Bold and Bulky Mini Cardi.

Better Late Than Never!

Hi everyone! I know I'm a little late, but man, am I having fun with my fitted knits! I cast on for the Airy Wrap Around two nights ago, and am done with the back and am working on the sleeves. I'll post pics soon!

Cheers,

Christy

Cozy V-Neck FO

This has been done for a while, but because it has been too warm to wear, its been hiding in my closet. This is worsted Malabrigo in Orchid, I used four skeins making the smallest size. I love it, it fits perfectly and the yarn is incredibly soft, I highly recommend it.

My textured tunic!

I finished the body in the spring, but during the summer it was just "ignored". But for 2 weeks ago I finished it. I really like it, but I am not sure about the gaps above the buttons on each side!Texturedtunic

Give me strength!

I'm at the neckline ribbing on the two-toned shrug.  It couldn't be less stimulating.  How are you guys managing to not poke yourself in the eye from boredom?  I catch myself just holding my needles and not knitting all the time!  It's so stupid, too, because look how close I am to being finished!  Knitting_197 Hopefully the prize drawing deadline will motivate me to finish by Sunday.

Finished Short Sleeved Cardi with Ribbing

I went back and forth about this knit before I made it. Would the chunky weight of the yarn be too chunky? Would it make me look fat? I actually finished this a month ago, but I hadn't got around to blogging about it here. :) Okay so here goes! Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket I threw caution to the wind and just went with it. I am glad I did, because I love it! Its a great knit. A few minor boo boos (like sleeve stitches and ribbing mix ups) but other than that it was a fabulous knit. Very quick in this yarn! I used the recommended Cascade and Knit the 41 inch? And did the waist and sleeve shaping of the size smaller. The buttons are from ButtonsGalore on Etsy. Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket The only thing that I don't like is its a little baggy right under the arms. Its not something anyone else notices, but I do. If I ever knit this again, I would make a size smaller.

FO: DSL Tank

Knitting_002OK so this has been done for awhile, and I needed to get a picture!  Well I finally got hubby to take a crappy, "I don't want to get off the recliner photo...Ugh

Anyway I really like the way this tank came out, so cute! I made the 32", and used the called for Cascade Pima Tencell which is super soft, and size 7 Knit picks options needles.  I did do it flat, I was going to do it in the round but since it was mostly ribbing, I decided just to do it flat. The only thing I wish I would have adjusted was maybe I should have done a 3 needle bind off on the shoulders. I also did one set of repeats before seperating the front, so I didn't have to add buttons.  I love the color too..

I'm going to make one, too!

I got some gorgeous Debbie Bliss Rialto Aran in 21203 (a lovely warm blue) and I'll be knitting with 5.5mm needles. I haven't knit anything in the last 12 years or so... wish me luck!
