just what i wanted
hello, i was waiting for some sunlight in paris's grey sky to take a photo. i am very satisfied with this sweater. just so you know, i normally design all of my knits, having to chose from a book is not an easy task for me. but this seemed to have the perfect ingredients for what i need right now: a small neck opening to keep me warm, rather thick yarn to go fast and for extra warmth, a hugging fit because after all i am a woman and women need other sweater shapes than men.
i used a self striping yarn that's machine dyed in color "jeans". it took me seven 50 gr skeins to knit it while on the skein band it said i needed 10 skeins for a sweater, which means this pattern is a yarn saver.
for paris it was cheap as i payed 21 euros roughly. my gauge sample was just a bit smaller with the number 5 mm needles than with the number 5.5 mm requested in the book because i needed negative ease and the smallest size was for a size 34" and i am a size 34".
what i like the most? i had seen those knitted here and the neckline did not seem as small as in the book, i am glad mine turned out like in the book.

très joli ;-)
very nice! bravo!

I think that looks FABULOUS! Great job. I love the self-striping colors.

Stripes are my favourite thing, that sweater looks GREAT with them, I haven't done this one yet am thinking about it, I may have to invest in some self stripping yarn too now. fabulous job!
