Instructions driving me nuts

I've been looking for a while for someone else who's had this question about the top, but if she's out there, I can't find her.

On page 108 before separating sleeves from the body it says to knit one round. The next round says "knit front sts". That means 2 knit rows consecutively; won't that mess up the garter stitch sections of the front?

I'm desperate for an answer! Did any of you notice a difference if you followed this instruction? Am I overthinking it?

I would guess that most people saw it but did not realize that they were correcting it. they most likely just realized that they needed to split at this point instead of knit another plain knit row.
