Very cute!! Good tip on the length of the ties. I would also have chosen Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece as it's one of my favorite summer yarns - good pick!

Funny. This pattern wasn't even on my radar until today. I was trying to think what I could use in my stash and now I know. I have Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece. PERFECT! Yours looks so pretty. I'll make sure to remember the tie tip, too.
