Wow. Just wanted to say that for a first attempt at a sweater, this is one of the nicest hand-knitted sweaters I've seen! I'm a total beginner... This is gorgeous and gives me hope for myself someday... lol.

I had a question: I'm knitting this very sweater, and I'm following the directions and it tells me to knit garter, la la la, but I notice in the pictures the collar is one texture and the body's is completely different. garter and purl? but the directions dont say anything about switching. I'm super confused. help?
