Fitted Knit #5 Finished

Hi,
This photo doesn't do it justice, and the two greens in the solid part do not contrast nearly that much, but this will give you the general idea of my finished object.
Click on the photos to see them larger. I used the yarn from the pattern, Cascade Jazz and Cascade 220. The body goes very quickly because of the chunkiness of the yarn, it's the ribbed parts that take time. I ripped out and redid the button hole band and it came out better the second time. The only problem--I may have to move to a colder climate to get more use out of it. Next up: Two-Toned Shrug and a possible Bluebell Boatneck.Thicknthin2 I'm going to see how many projects I can do from this book!  WendyThicknthin1_2

Newbie

Hi all, my name is kerry and I am new to this site. I bought fitted knits last month and want to knit pretty my much everything in it. As the book is american I and I am in the UK i can sometimes find it hard to get the required yarn or find substitutes. SO far I am working on two projeact and looking to start a third. Firstly I started the Airy Wrap-Around Lace Sweater, it was impossible to get the suggested yarn so I have gone with Rowan Kidsilk which has worked out very well, the cables aren't so defined but the effect is lovely I have one side tie left to finish. I am also about to finish the body of the Short-Sleeved Cardigan with Ribing, for that I found I good supplier of cascade 128 and 220 on ebay to get it shipped from the states that worked out cheaper than buying it in the UK. I have about 5 rows of ribbing left then the sleeves. I am also looking to Start the Thick-and-Thin Cardigan Coat, this IS proving to be difficult, to get Tuscany Grande here will prove to be very costly indeed so I was thinking about using Debbie Bliss Soho as it would be about a third of the price, it looks quite similar and the gauge is quite close any suggestions would be welcome. I will put in some pictures as soon as my camera is fixed.

New to Blog, But Not to Fitted Knits

Hi, all, I recently joined, although I have already completed three projects from the book, The Carie Cardi, The Bulky Mini Cardi, and now the Cozy V-Neck Pullover. I will post pictures of all three later.I love, love, love these patterns. It is my favorite knitting book ever. Now, I have started the Thick and Thin Cardigan Coat, (pictured) and I am waiting for the yarn to arrive for the Short-Sleeved Cardigan with Ribbing. Is anyone else planning to do the Thick and Thin? The yarn is onsale at Webs.

Thanks for a great KAL for a great book.
