Questions about sleeve pattern on Lace Shaped Tee

I'm wondering if anyone is working on this project and having any trouble with the instructions for the sleeves.

I knit one sleeve and blocked it and while I think it's very pretty, I don't think it's remotely the right size. I know I followed the instructions closely, and while I may not have had exact row gauge... I don't think it should be shaped quite like this.

I do like how the body is turning out (this is pre-blocking)....

I'm just very sure that I need more and wider fabric at the top of the sleeve cap (the instructions tell me to decrease down to 6 stitches...this is the smallest number of stitches on any size) to go around my arm. I'm knitting the 47inch size.

Anyone with similar issues?

Shaped Lace Tee

As of now, I realize that I Cant even try this on to see if it fits and make changes if necassary, Considering that im almost 37 weeks pregnant. But i just couldnt help myself!! I absolutly Love this pattern,  Its beautiful! It is the Shaped Lace Tee. I am knitting it in Knit Picks ' Main Line' which is 75% pima cotton, 25% merino wool. I love the yarn, it is soo soft, perfect drape, but lightweight. I am using one size larger  needles than called for to get gauge, and knitting the smallest size.

Lace Sock Progress

Knitprogress_015_2

Here is my progress on the lace sock. It's not perfect - a few errors in the lace due to me forgetting if which row I was on (even though it's only a 2-row pattern). Still, for the most part it's looking good. It's a really easy pattern and I'm enjoying the quick progress. I have about 3 more inches before completing the first sock in the pair.

I have also ordered yarn from Elann - my first time getting their yarn - for the Surplice Body Camisole. I'm excited about that too! I'm not one to seam, so I'm going to have to treat slowly once I get to that part.

Out of Town Til Sunday

FYI, I'll be out of town with limited access to email until Sunday afternoon. I'll process any new join requests at that time - thanks!  Have a great weekend!

Lace-Front Sweater Progress, Weird Yarn

I've been going a little dye-crazy, and I'm not very good at it, either. However, I think I might sort of like the accidental variations that come from not stirring things properly and having different variegation in all of my yarn from the same batch: I think it might make for an interesting effect, though, once the sweater is finished. Or one can only hope. And I don't really know what the heck I was thinking with this: What does one name this colorway? Elementary School Carpet or Beagle Vomit? I just can't decide. Maybe this would be good yarn to make that strange lacy swimsuit cover thing in the book. Ooor not.

New Buttons!

Jen Sunshine and Monica were kind enough to make some buttons for us for this KAL - check them out in the right sidebar!  Jen made the first three and Monica did the last two.  Thanks so much for volunteering to do this!  They turned out great!

Yarns here.

I received my yarn(Lornas lace worsted weight in green) for fit and flare skirt.  They are gorgeous!!!  I am going to swatch it and see what it feels like after knitted up.  I think this skirt is going to be pretty heavy ...  Hope this works out:)

I love this book

I have already completed the tank of the retro ribby twinset and the gracefully gathered halter top both out of hand dyed yarn from my local yarn store Woolbearers. I compiled a list of ten items from the book to knit over the summer to use up my stash. I have completed two already!! I'll be posting pictures on my blog. On the needles  I currently have the pearls and silk cami, again in hand dyed from Woolbearers.
