Hi all, I've just joined. I bought the book a little while ago and have been dreaming over the pages. It is a little traumatic for me to go yarn shopping where I live now and I've been dreading trying to find substitutes - I dislike buying wool online because the colours always look different! - but anyway - I've started on the Silk Slip and so far so good. Here is my sample. Was very lucky and got almost the same gauge. Relief! Am using Sublime - Cashmere Merino Silk DK in cream.

Wow, thats beautiful. My LYS is about to start carrying the Sublime line so I may have to use it also-- it seems to work well.

That looks great so far. I know what you mean about not trusting that the colors shown online will be true - it is always a leap of faith.

Looks great. I love that silk slip. It is definetly on my "To Do" list. Can't wait to see it when it's finished.

Very nice! I'm working on that one, too. I look forward to seeing your FO pics!

Hey girl! Where are you? shopping for yarn is traumatic for me too! I'm in Puerto Rico and yarn shopping is limited to Walmart and Kmart.
