After a little internet searching I found some info on the yarn used for Saratoga. Its a worsted weight, boucle yarn that is being discontinued. I'm not a fan of boucle so I will be looking for a sub. Like you said Robin ,the gauge is pretty common ,5 sts so anything would work really. The other pattern I really like is Charade. It calls for Zen which is I am remmebering the right yarn isn't terrible soft so I'll probably look for something for that as well.

I'm not a fan of boucle or ribbon yarn (after my last two disasters with Colinette Giotto). You could probably just make it out of Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece or Cascade Pima Tencel!
