Better late than never

Hi there, I'm a new addition to the KAL. My husband just gave me this beautiful book last week for my birthday because "It looked really interesting and I thought there were things in there you would want to make." What a good guy. And he was right. I think I want one of everything. But since I can't have one of everything (right now, anyway), I'm reviewing my options. Again. I've still got a bit of time before this officially kicks off, right?

So far, I'm really taken with The Heiress, Streetcar Named Desire and Charade. And A Room with a View. (I like me some surplice tops, I do.) Oh, and I dig the silk stockings. But I could always change my mind. Again. It happens. Frequently.

Wow

When I saw this book I seriously fell in love.  The main reason I bought the book was for the Notorious top.  It's seriously the sweetest top ever.  Unfortunately I don't have the right yarns in the stash, so I can't knit it just yet.  I also really love A Streetcar Named Desire, but yet again no yarn.  Same for Ninotchka, Dark Victory, and a few others. 

I was going to start with Casablanca, because I have the perfect yarn, but the sizing really sucks, and either really small or really big...

Sooo I will probably start with something simple like the June Bride gloves.  I know I have a few different yarns that will work for this, so I'll have to decide.  I can't wait to get knitting all of these!

An Affair to Remember Skirt

I have a question about the pattern" Establish Gores section" p1 k4 p1 [cable} does that mean the cable goes between the p1s meaning where the k4 is cable those 4 stitches??

Dark Victory

Good morning!  I'm just writing to say how excited I am that I rec'd my Romantic Hand Knits in the mail yesterday.  I think I may knit Dark Victory for my sister for Christmas.  I don't think I will do it as a surprise though so the colors and fit will be better for her...  I've been working hard on finishing up as many wips as I can so I can start this guilt free!

I'm excited; this is my first knit-along!  I think I am going to be making Ninotchka (will have to line the bottom part with fabric, tho), but possibly Saratoga (or both if I'm feeling ambitious!)

Robin - how do you add multiple categories?  I can only seem to add one.
