Friday!!
So glad the weekend is here!! Here's some high energy Pearl Jam to kick it off!
Last night I worked on Cherie Amour - I hadn't knit a stitch since MONDAY. I was seriously feeling "off". I am now done with the hip lace section and am about five rows into the waist ribbing. I'm going to do a couple more rounds of that, then try it on to see how it's looking. I am a little concerned as I'm getting the gauge with Tahki Bunny Print, a lighter bulky yarn, and other people are using worsted weight. The original pattern says it's for bulky weight yarn, and it seems to look good so far. I'm not going to worry about it - we'll see what it looks like as I go along. If it isn't good, I'll just rip.
This weekend I have to do the parts on my shirt that I can do on my own. I went over the pattern guidesheet with my teacher on Tuesday agreeing on what parts I should be able to do on my own without a problem, and which I should wait for her on. She was telling me I could start the sleeves, but I am nervous about that. I might sew them (basting first, my new best friend in sewing techniques) together but I am not attempting to ease in the sleeves on my own. No way.
Other than that, Jim and I are going out with Stefanie and Tom for sushi tonight at our favorite restaurant, Blu Coral. We're going out to Morton's tomorrow night with Tim. I hate going out two nights in a row, but Tim made the reservations for tomorrow already so that's fine. I've been really good this last week - eating really healthy every day, small portions, and no wine since last Friday!
Have a great weekend!

No knitting AND no wine all week? Hmmm, maybe the two are related. LOL!

hehehe. Heather stole my comment. I haven't knit since Aruba! I managed a few stitches or rows here and there on a couple things, but no real progress to show. Hopefully I can get back into it soon! Poor Joe is still waiting for his anniversary gift, and that was Nov. 11!

Thanks for the kind note, Robin. Yes, I'm very happy with Juliet and thrilled that she looks even better on. It seems like you have a lot going on with knitting and sewing. Wish I had a bit more time to devote to my craft but a certain little 8 year old boy keeps me busy so I can only knit for a few hours at night. Have a great weekend!

No wine? Are you sure that's healthy? Have a great weekend!

Thank you for your comments on my Juliet. I know what you mean about feeling off. I haven't gotten much knitting in lately with work/life and it's definitely made me feel off kilter. I hope you have a great weekend full of quality knitting and great wine!

Must be something about not knitting this week. I skipped knit night last night to stay home with my cat (waking up from dental work). Need to get back to those needles!
I hope Cherie works out so that you don't have to rip. And I was so happy for you, reading your sewing posts, that the projects are turning out well lately. I think the person who said something about 10% inspiration, 90% perspiration must be right when it comes to crafts!! Enjoy your weekend.

No wine? Many we're expecting snow here this weekend so it will be knitting and a glass of wine. Believe it or not, I manage to knit well mixing the two without a day long frogging convention the next day. :-) Have a good weekend!
