Today we adopted our new little BFF: Greta!!
I don't know why she's sticking her tongue out - I swear I'm not squeezing her, even though she looks like it!
Greta is a tiny petite little girl - she weighs about five pounds like my sweet baby Gilda did. We are hoping to fatten her up just a little. But her fur is very soft and silky and she is a lap cat all the way. She loved to be petted and held nonstop. She was a stray according to the shelter, and is two years old but is more the size of a five or six month old kitten. *Love* :))))
Oh, very sweet. My daughter adopts senior dogs and it has been so rewarding for her, her family and for us to see a sweet pet overcome their problems and find a family to love them. Good luck to you and your new little friend!

What a sweetie! She looks just like our tortoiseshell. I've had two with her coloring, and they were both little mini cats. I am sure she will be happy with you - good for you, adopting an adult cat (so many are ignored, and they have love to give!)

I'm Greta's proud Grandma! Have you shown Greta your yarn closet yet????? Wish Greta were here to lap-sit. I'm still trying to get a lap kitty. Working on Zak but he's still a wild little thing and Radcliffe won't even let me hold him for more than a few seconds!

She's so pretty! I love torties. I'm glad you adopted. I volunteer with a no-kill cat shelter and there are so many who need forever homes! Greta is lucky that you found her!

SO cute!!! I wish our boy was a lap kitty but then again, at 19 lbs may e it's best he isn't. LOL Congrats!

so adorable! We adopted two kittens a year ago and they've brought so much happiness to our family. I especially love that one of them is quite a lap kitty too and sits with me while I blog or knit.
